Charalambous
CITRONNE Gallery presents Panos Charalambous’s solo exhibition COLUMBIA – Die Ruinen von Athen. COLUMBIA is a continuation of Charalambous’s previous exhibition, AMVRAKIA.MIA (CITRONNE Gallery, 2024).
Rizoupolis: May 2006. The vinyl record factory of COLUMBIA is demolished; the "black marbles" are scattered in pieces … unravelled tapes strewn all over the territory … metal stampers glinting in the sun … COLUMBIA was the dark, black spot … the negative of an Olympic flash, of a national phantasmagoria!
The space of CITRONNE Gallery is turned into an AUDIOROOM...

Audio happenings will take place throughout the exhibition, highlighting the sonic dimension of Charalambous’s work.
The exhibition is accompanied by the publication COLUMBIA, co-published by CITRONNE Gallery and EKDOSEIS tou EIKOSTOU PROTOU. This bilingual publication (Greek–English), featuring texts by Panos Panopoulos, Tatiana Spinari-Pollalis, Yiorgos Tzirtzilakis, and Panos Charalambous, is a “printed exhibition,” where text and image compose a documentation of the artist’s multifaceted oeuvre and ongoing research.
